Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal (SSM), est. 1959, is an organization formed to build educated, prosperous and sustainable rural communities through value interventions in Education, Skill & Livelihood, Agriculture, Natural resource management, Women & Child Empowerment and Sports. The founder chairman Karmayogi K.N. alias Babasaheb Deshmukh, was moved by the plight of the rural poor and innocent people and decided to establish an Organization which supports all spheres of Rural life and empowers rural community. Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal (SSM) came in to existence in 1959 at Shardanagar, Sagroli. SSM started with a small school in a couple of huts, eventually propagated, into a vast world of multi dimensional NGO, operating from Shardanagar, a sprawling 200 acre campus, donated by Babasaheb from his own property. SSM's services are recognized and felicitated on the national and international daises at times.
