Michel Sellam is a Franco-Israeli songwriter, electronic music composer and multi-instrumentalist. In 2002, he put his one-man-band experimental music project together: 'The Color Green'. At its beginning it aimed to be as self-produced as possible ,in a lo-fi home recording manner, pioneering in early 2000s what we call nowadays: 'Do it yourself' music. Between 2003-2006 he released 4 full length albums were out, and collaborated with other artists. In 2007 The Color Green took a hiatus. In 2008, Sellam founded a quintet named 'Greenhouse' . Greenhouse was as successful blend of The Color Green musical materials and its own. They began touring extensively, and opened up for the Indie Negev festival in 2009. In 2016 The Color Green made his come back, this time as a more produced act, incorporating other musicians and elaborated recording technics. The outcome was a revived sound while preserving its original lo-fi flavor.
