The Morningtown Riders are a musical group of mature students from the West Auckland School of Guitar and Harmonica (Glen Eden ) who like to 'give back' to their local community. The group are all volunteers, and do not charge for their services. The group regularly perform a lively selection of 'good old songs' from the 1950's and 60's for local community events. This merry band of troubadours especially enjoy performing for aged care residents, who are always very appreciative indeed. All of the songs are particularly well known and loved by people of this generation. . The sweet blend of group harmony singing, guitars, clarinet, harmonica, recorder, and saxophone is a real winner. The concerts always spark spontaneous singing , clapping ,dancing , laughter, and cheers of sheer delight from the audience. All this to classic tunes that evoke fond memories of 'times gone by'.
