About Gevjan - Topic
Gevorg Martirosyan (born March 7, 1995) is a multifaceted professional spanning music and media. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Armsport.am, while also working as an author and a vocal instructor. His musical journey began at age five in the "Mankunk" Church choir under maestro Shota Vardanyan, notably performing Makar Ekmalyan’s Patarag. He later studied piano at the Alexander Achemyan Music School. In 2012, he entered the Yerevan University of Culture, studying under maestro Edward Beglaryan and earning accolades at various music festivals. Gevorg debuted as a recording artist in 2015 with "Ashkharhums akh Chim Kashi" by the legendary Armenian ashugh Sayat-Nova (arranged by Guro Gasparyan). Today, he collaborates with arranger Gevorg Hovhannisyan and teaches vocals at the Alexander Achemyan Music School. Drawing on his early journalism background and expertise in vocal pedagogy, Gevorg authored "The Anatomy of Voice: A System of Conscious Vocal" (Zangak Publishing House). Alongside his literary and musical achievements, he leads one of Armenia's top sports news platforms. Beyond his professional pursuits, Gevorg has a deep interest in cinema, psychology, and philosophy.
