This channel is devoted primarily to preserving the history of the Team Fortress mod for Quake. Now much better known from its Team Fortress 2 and Team Fortress Classic incarnations, Quake Team Fortress was the original class-based first-person shooter. Though not remembered the way that Quake deathmatch still is, Team Fortress had a large and thriving community in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and for a while was played more than any other mod, including original Quake deathmatch! As players moved on to new games, Quake Team Fortress stopped being played except by a few diehards, and was at risk of falling into obscurity. Several years ago, I decided to do something about this by performing video capture on my own match demo files and uploading them to YouTube. Over time, many players have come forward and offered me their own footage, allowing me to create possibly the largest archive of footage of a single classic game in the world.
