S-Lock is a passionate hip-hop artist that has had a strong love for rap since the late 80s. With some small local success and one national commercial, he decided to join the military fresh out of high school. After serving in the U.S. Navy, S-Lock returned to his hometown in North East Tennessee. He continued to write and rap while working at various jobs. He started the journey to becoming a full-time entrepreneur in 2010. After a few months of working part-time at a furniture store, his marketing business started bringing in enough money to reason quitting his last job and going to work full time on his business. After a few years, he started simply not having enough time to work on any music. In 2015, S-Lock was finally able to free up some time and buy the basic equipment to start recording music again. But the equipment was poor, resulting in poor quality & Lock was only looking at this as a hobby so it was good enough. In 2019, he decided to get out of his own way and out of his own head and get back to what he loves. After a rough 2020-2021, including losing most of his teeth, on top of the rest of 2020's issues, he finally was able to work on some music and get back in the booth.
