Es ist die erste Musik-Casting-Show nur für Talente ab 60 Jahren im deutschen Fernsehen. Wie Fans der bisherigen Casting-Shows im „The Voice-Stil“ es gewohnt sind, startet auch die Ausgabe für die Senioren zunächst mit Blind Auditions, in denen die Talente einen Song performen, während die Coaches ihnen den Rücken zuwenden. Sie sehen erst dann das Gesicht zur Stimme, wenn sie den Buzzer drücken und damit zeigen, dass sie das jeweilige Talent gerne in ihrem Team hätten. Sobald jeder Coach dann sein Team zusammen hat, treten die Talente in sogenannten „Battles“ gegeneinander an.
