ERIC, The Children's Bowel & Bladder Charity is dedicated to supporting the 900,000 children & young people affected distressing continence conditions & toileting issues such as delayed toilet training, chronic constipation & soiling, daytime wetting and bedwetting. ERIC exists to tackle these common, but often misunderstood, childhood continence issues. We offer practical information and emotional support to families with children aged 0-19 who struggle with bowel & bladder problems. We train and support professionals working with affected young people, including GPs, health visitors, school nurses, teachers and early years practitioners. Our desire to tackle the stigma surrounding ‘wee and poo’ problems, means that campaigning and awareness raising are a crucial part of our work. Our vision is that every child and teenager with a bowel or bladder condition can access support and live free from embarrassment, shame, isolation and fear.
