Kimmy has two kinds of build, magic build and physical build. But if you look at the top Kimmy players, 70% of them are already using physical build. Is physical build really better for Kimmy? Remember, with physical build, you will rely on Kimmy's basic attacks. With magic build, you need to use her 1st skill whenever it's available. For me I prefer physical build. Here are my 5 reasons why I use physical build on Kimmy. 5. Limited energy on her 1st skill Her 1st skill only lasts around four seconds. Once out of energy you need to are stuck with basic attacks. If you rely on her 1st skill, you'll come up short most of the time when chasing enemies. With basic attacks, you can use it anytime. Unlike her basic attack which is useable anytime. 4. Physical attack affects both basic attack and 1st skill When obtaining physical attack stats it benefits both her basic and 1st skill. When adding magic power, it only adds damage to her 1st skill. Basic attack is not affected when adding magic power. 3. Critical strikes boost her damage. Using a critical strike item allows Kimmy to deal double damage on her basic attacks. Using Berserker's Fury further increases her critical damage by 40%. With a single item her damage output is increased significantly. 2. Sustain is weak in magic build Her 1st skill has a limited magic lifesteal which makes it hard for her sustain while using magic build. But with physical build, using a lifesteal item like Haas' Claws can easily solve that problem. Just walk up right to a jungle monster or minion to recover your HP. Instead of recalling to your base to regen, you save time and earn more gold while in the battlefield. You might not see the numbers but you can feel the lifsteal effect once you get Haas' Claws. With high damage and lifesteal, you can go toe to toe against other heroes. 1. Easy Lord and turtle kills With physical attack build she can take on the lord and the turtle easily. Combine critical strikes and lifesteal and she'll be able to solo the lord with ease. With magic build she doesn't have enough magic lifesteal to sustain the lord's damage. While the list may look good, there are also cons with physical build. Kimmy's 1st skill and ultimate doesn't hurt that much. Basic attacks has a shorter range with her 1st skill.
