The Edjy single blade stainless steel fingernail cutters are AWESOME. I don't get worked up about daily products often but this is just one of those that improves on a real problem and makes a tedious task less annoying. Traditional fingernail clippers have two blades that are surprisingly not very sharp. Sure you can nick your skin with them but nails are a different story - much tougher. So what happens is they compensate by making the lever action strong enough to basically CRUSH through your nail and then rip it off. The result is jagged edges that need filed more meticulously (unless you're a complete psychopath that likes the rough edge feeling). Edjy's patented single blade design improves on this by reducing the pinching action and instead, actually cutting through the nail with their sharpened stainless steel. Another downfall is that there's far too much space beyond the blades in a traditional clipper, allowing you to cut your nail way too short. That too-short nail feeling is a thing of the past with Edjy's nail guard - basically there's a lip below the blade that cuts the perfect amount of nail by default. You'd have to basically force your nail into the space to cut it too short and once again, you'd be wandering into psychopath territory there. If you thought it couldn't get any better, every set is manufactured locally in Michigan with their suppliers stationed within 250 miles, reducing travel costs and other adverse environmental factors. These were recommended to me by a friend a while back and I've not used another pair of nail trimmers since. The wheel doesn't need reinvented that often but this one knocks it out of the park.
