The world Cube Association has not added any new events since 2014 when they introduced Skewb, and no change has been made at all since 2020 when feet was removed. Over the years there have been many ideas about new events which should be added but nothing has actually been done. Recently, the World Cube Association has released a survey asking for feedback from the community about which events should be added. Here are some of the proposed addditions: 3x3x3 Team Blind 4x4x4 One-Handed 8x8x8 Cube Face-Turning Octahedron (FTO) Ivy Cube Kilominx Master Pyraminx Mini Guildford Relay Mirror Blocks Redi Cube In this video, I discuss how realistic these options are and which I think would be the best options, I also discuss some less known issues with them. The other considerations made on the survey regard how much extra time this will take up and whether that is acceptable to competitors.
