Bad audio is the #1 reason viewers bail on a video that looks great — and you can fix it without rerecording or buying new gear. In this video I break down 3 audio editing secrets for YouTube that solve dialogue that's too loud, volume that's too quiet, room echo, reverb, and unwanted background noise. I also address bad advice you may have heard from other tutorials online, and set the record straight so you can have the best chance at achieving great audio. Never post a video that sounds quieter than everyone else's after uploading it to YouTube and social media again. Let's fix your video's audio. 🚀 30-Day Creator Challenge | Day 14: Audio Mastering✨ 🎧 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN • How loud should YouTube videos be • The best audio levels for YouTube videos • Export settings for optimized YouTube volume - and why you shouldn't use them • The difference between LUFS and decibels, and how to use these numbers to get the best audio levels for your videos • How to remove background noise without the underwater robot-voice artifact • Why your YouTube video volume sounds too low on your phone — and how to catch it before uploading to YouTube • The audio mastering secrets that make a video feel professional If anyone has ever commented "too quiet" or "too loud" on your video, this is the fix. These are the same audio problems I clean up on client footage every week. In fact, the blue Shure mic you see me using in this video was plugged into a faulty port on my computer and only recorded hiss. The audio you hear is from my backup mic, the Deity clipped to my flannel. I didn't plan on using this backup mic and so it's pointed in the wrong direction. As a result, the audio I recorded for this video (of all videos!) was pretty bad. But getting to demonstrate how to improve bad audio without having to rerecord? I could not have planned it better myself! So... I guess it was a good thing? Hey, if I can do it, you can too. Because in this video I show you how to do it yourself. 🔧 These aren't plugin tricks, and no pay-wall apps or AI outside of Premiere Pro was used in my editing process. I show you the audio editing workflow I use on every edit, and you can use it in whatever software you already cut in. I do want to encourage you though, the best audio comes from quality recorded audio. The full richness of sound starts when the camera stars rolling, and your microphone is plugged in (to the proper port). 👉 More editing breakdowns, tutorials, downloads, gear recommendations, and my full creator system at https://kosmospost.com/ 📓 The Iconic Planner (the planner I use to plan every video): https://kosmospost.com/theiconicplanner 📸 Behind the scenes on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kosmospost/ Have an audio problem I didn't cover?
