NFL WORST CAREER ENDING HITS 😢 NFL WORST CAREER ENDING INJURIES 😢 Former Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley suffered a career-ending bruised spinal cord (spinal cord contusion) during a game against the Cleveland Browns on October 20, 2013. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter when Finley caught a slant pass from Aaron Rodgers and took a helmet-to-helmet hit from Browns safety Tashaun Gipson. The collision resulted in a severe neck injury and temporary paralysis on the field, forcing him to be immobilized and stretchered off into the intensive care unit (ICU). Former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver and special teams standout Ricardo Lockette suffered a career-ending neck injury on November 1, 2015, during a Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys. While running downfield to cover a punt, Lockette was hit with a blindside block by Cowboys safety Jeff Heath. The impact knocked Lockette unconscious, leaving him motionless on the field for nearly 10 minutes before he was strapped to a backboard and carted off. He was diagnosed with a concussion, a cervical ligament tear, and disk damage, which created severe spinal instability. Johnny Knox suffered a career-ending spinal fracture on December 18, 2011, during a game between the Chicago Bears and the Seattle Seahawks. Early in the first quarter at Soldier Field, Knox caught a 17-yard pass over the middle from quarterback Caleb Hanie. Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor hit Knox, poking the ball loose. As Knox instinctively dove forward face-first to recover his own fumble, Seattle defensive end Anthony Hargrove was charging full speed from the opposite direction to do the same. On August 12, 1978, New England Patriots wide receiver Darryl Stingley suffered a tragic, career-ending spinal cord injury during a preseason exhibition game against the Oakland Raiders. He was only 26 years old at the time. During the second quarter at the Oakland Coliseum, Patriots quarterback Steve Grogan threw a high pass over the middle of the field intended for Stingley, who was running a crossing pattern. As Stingley leaped and reached for the ball, Oakland Raiders free safety Jack Tatum (nicknamed "The Assassin") launched forward and delivered a brutal, head-on collision, striking Stingley directly in the neck and head. linktr.ee/AllHighlights Business Email: [email protected] #shorts #nfl #football #nflshorts #nflmemes #sports #nflfootball #hits #hit
