(Unfortunately VS Shyrell doesn't have many golden quotes from Shyrell herself outside of the cynical ones) ========== Description: ========== (I used the B3 Remixes in this video) Funkin' with Shyrell is an overhaul mod from way back in the day, to get this out of the way, I don't recommend this mod nowadays, and did have its time to shine when it came out, definitely one of the best mods at the time because of how much it did, new noteskins, new character, BF and GF on the speaker which has never been seen since. Shyrell also appears in the Viernes Noche Webiando' mod which makes sense seeing as Shyrell's native language was Spanish, to be honest real quick, I'm not familliar with the ins and outs of everything, I keep myself as far away from the fandom as possible, I'm only here to bring attention to the most positive things about it. And to be honest Shyrell flew under my radar back then, while it was impressive for its time, big mods came out not too long after that quickly overshadowed it, maybe that's why I had never heard of this mod before. Anyway Shyrell appears in the background alongside Pico in Viernes Noche Webiando' which I'd imagine she's very happy about it, what a kind gesture. Music wise and charting wise, unfortunately I have nothing to talk about, this mod changes none of the vanilla songs, and nowadays that just doesn't cut it, I can't recommend this mod unless you're willing to go out of your way to add stuff to make it better. Since it's such an old mod, it also uses Funkin' Engine as a base which is not good, dropped inputs, lack of control in general, weird offsets, it's the FNF Engine that everyone was complaining about until numerous people started fixing it. But that's not Shyrell's problem, the rest of the mod is mostly visual and the changes are somewhat minor but all nice touches, unfortunately it leaves me with nothing to say again, to get the best out of it I'd have to look too deeply into it and that would take way too long for a description. It's a good mod, it was one of the best overhaul mods at the time, but it's been forgotten about and has fallen to obscurity, unless Shyrell did some massive revamp like B3 did, I don't see this becoming popular again, it deserves its obscurity now, and it doesn't fall under the underrated category, to do that you'd have to do more than just retextures, which is why the underrated playlist is so small in size at the moment. Don't worry I'm sure more will be added to the underrated playlist as time goes on, hell, if some mods I've uploaded don't do well in a few weeks some of those will find their way in there too, I can see Umball in there in the future, and to be honest I should probably add Kaizo in there right now, because I don't think anyone's going to give that mod a boost, how can they? I can't even remember where I found it, but it was a good mod. What was I talking about? Oh right, Shyrell's an alright mod, an unbelievable amount of effort went into it, it's good but I can't recommend playing it, your time is valuable and I think you should spend it on a shorter yet better experience.
