Sheet music → https://mymusic.st/animenzzz/41472 Good evening, everyone. It has been a while since my last YouTube upload and I basically took a break from all social media since August 2019. The truth is: I was having health issues and therefore I couldn't work on any piano covers for months. But fortunately, I have recovered and I started to practice the piano regularly again since last week. Due to the long pause, I almost forgot how to arrange piano music. Therefore I started from the scratch: I began practicing classical piano pieces again from the baroque to the late romantic era, in order to "get my feeling for piano music back", as well as trying to recover my dexterity of both of my hands. The result is this classical-style arrangement of the Opening song from the Fall 2017 Anime Series "Mahoutsukai no Yome." (魔法使いの嫁 or The Ancient Magus' Bride) I am particularly fond of Chopin's piano compositions and you can clearly hear his influence in this particular piano arrangement. Chromatic runs, "fake notes in scales", utilizing double notes in fast runs, and so on. My biggest challenge was that Key change from E minor to Eb minor after the 1st chorus (01:42 - 02:00). I don't really like key changes without any transitions and therefore I created an alternative cadenza from E minor to Eb minor within 8 bars. Since the original song abruptly ends around 04:52, I decided to "complete" the melody phrase by adding a new Coda at the end. The Coda contains musical elements from both the chorus and the bridge (03:36 - 03:57), in order to deliver a concluding finale. Unlike my usual "original endings", this coda turned out unusually pessimistic. Perhaps... because of my experience in the last month. I just want to say, I am still thankful, that I can continue playing the piano and I hope I can continue doing this as long as I can. Well then. Thank you everyone for still visiting my YouTube channel despite the super infrequent uploads. I always appreciate your comments, because they always give me the energy and motivation to strive for better arrangements. I don't know when my next upload on YouTube is going to be, but I will continue doing my best. Also one more thing: A number of fans have asked about sheet availability: A solution is on the way, please be patient for the time being! Thank you for your understanding. I really missed you guys.
