And because of the 515 event, you can get her for free if you log in that day. So I've played Luo Yi several times in advance server and here is what I found out about her. First let's talk about her cons. 1. Short range Luo Yi isn't like Valir and Pharsa where they deal damage safely from a distance. She is like a mid-range mage that needs to be near the enemy to cast her skills. Her 1st skill can bounce off from the main target but it still requires you to come a bit close to the enemy. 2. Hard to use ultimate I find her ultimate hard to use because it can easily backfire. It's dangerous to teleport to a location since the enemy can also see where you will arrive. In this game, I only used it three times and one of them was pressed accidentally. 3. Low mobility She doesn't have a dash skill so it's hard when against fighters or tanks with cc skills. She constantly needs protection from her allies for her to be effective. So those are her three cons. Now let's talk about what I like about her. 1. Great in team fights Her skills are made for team fights especially her passive skill. You can stun multiple enemies if you can put two marks together and if you can do it right, you can stun several times in a short period. Her 2nd skill has a big range and can slow multiple enemies by 60%. 2. Ultimate is good if playing with a squad. Her ultimate is hard to use when in solo queue because it needs good communication. But when you are playing with your squad, launching a coordinated attack using her ultimate can be fun and effective. Your team can control the map and teleport wherever you like with Luo Yi. 3. Damage is high If you look at her skills one by one you might not believe me when I say her damage is high. What gives her high damage is the combination of her skills. Her 1st skill can be used 4 times in a short period, her 2nd skill has an area of effect that lasts for 6 seconds and her passive skill has a high base and magic power scaling.
