Just 6 years ago, my life looked very different than it does right now…and I have a video to prove it. I was turning 52 and starting over. Everything in my life had changed all at once. My talkshow was canceled and I didn’t know my next career move. My husband and I moved to Vermont and sold the home outside Boston where we had lived and raised our kids for 26 years. I was living in a tiny town and had no friend group. My body, my hormones, my routine and sense of self and purpose - gone. It was almost as if I was stuck between two lives: the life I had been living and the life I had yet to create. I started to convince myself at 52 that the best days of my life and career were behind me. And that brings me to a video I want you to see. It’s me on my 52nd birthday, crying alone in a bedroom describing how I feel. Six years ago, there was no Mel Robbins Podcast. There was no Let Them Theory book. There was just me, starting over in a new chapter of my life and feeling scared and overwhelmed about all the unknowns. And now here we are six years later.
