June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, and honestly, men’s mental health issues must be spoken more about. Holding everything inside doesn't make you strong—it just keeps the invisible battles hidden. In this video, we are pulling back the curtain and breaking the silence on what the "tough guy" myth really costs us. From the tragic losses of young NFL powerhouse players like Marshawn Kneeland and Rondale Moore, to the personal heartbreak of losing my favorite high school football coach, Coach De La, who passed away in October 2024, we explore why mental health has absolutely nothing to do with being weak. I pray that Coach De La and the others we’ve lost are living their best lives in heaven right now and watching over us, and I pray for his family to continue finding peace. This conversation hits incredibly close to home for me. I talk about my dad, someone I look up to so much, who spent over 30 years saving countless lives as a doctor, but faced a major life transition after getting into trouble with something he didn't realize. Even our strongest role models face heavy, unexpected human pressures. I am also incredibly grateful for my close high school friend, Spencer Sanders. He is an amazing guy, and I deeply appreciate all the nice things he does for me; having real friends like him in your corner makes all the difference when life gets heavy. At the end of the day, we all must support our people and support those that we're involved with. If you are having mental health issues, or if you are struggling to move forward without those you have lost in the past, please reach out and talk to somebody. You don't have to carry the weight alone. Check on your boys today. 💬 Drop your thoughts or your own stories in the comments below. Let's look out for each other. 🆘 NEED IMMEDIATE SUPPORT? YOU ARE NOT ALONE: If you or someone you know is going through a dark time, please reach out. You can call or text 988 anytime to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. It’s completely free, 100% confidential, and available 24/7. (And hey, the science is still out on whether a 12-pack of Taco Bell tacos can actually reduce stress... but taking care of your mind is the ultimate form of self-respect!) #MensMentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #MensMentalHealthMonth #BreakTheStigma #CheckOnYourBoys #SelfCareForMen #YouAreNotAlone #988Lifeline
