When people told Jesus about the Galileans who had tragically died, and when He spoke of the 18 people killed when the tower of Siloam fell, Jesus asked whether they were greater sinners because tragedy had come upon them. His answer was no. But then He gave a warning that still speaks to us today: “Unless you repent, you too will all perish.” — Luke 13:3 These words weigh heavily on my heart today. Our family is mourning a loved one whose life was tragically taken in a hit-and-run accident in Colombia, while at the same time so many families are hurting after the earthquake that struck Colombia. Jesus did not teach us to look at tragedy and ask, “What did they do to deserve this?” He taught us to look within and ask, “Am I ready to meet God?” Life is fragile. Tomorrow is not promised. Tragedy does not discriminate. So while we pray for Colombia 🇨🇴, for those who have lost loved ones, for the injured, and for every family experiencing unimaginable pain, may we also hear the words of Jesus: Repent. Turn to God. Forgive. Love. Seek Christ while there is still time. May God comfort every grieving family, bring justice where justice is needed, and draw our hearts closer to Him. 🙏 Lord Jesus, have mercy on us and on Colombia. Vuelve a Dios. Perdona. Ama. Busca a Cristo mientras haya tiempo. 🇨🇴 #Luke13 #Lucas13 #PrayForColombia #OremosPorColombia #JesusChrist #Jesucristo #Repentance #Arrepentimiento #Faith #Fe #Colombia 🇨🇴🙏
