here it is! this is my biggest level in gd that took me about 2 years to fully decorate, which is the longest i've ever spent on a level by far. huge thanks to @SrGuillester for this opportunity :) i have a lot to say about this level, so i'd really appreciate if you read the description the first time i saw the layout for abendregen was back in 2022 after i released cave of heart. i tried to reach out to guillester about potentially decorating it, but i didn't get a response back then. i still really wanted to build to this song, and even tried making my own level to it, but quickly lost motivation to work on it. you can still find that unfinished level in this video: https://youtu.be/mbit-8jQ2kE?si=Gnwb_IKJj01OISGk&t=237. however, later in 2024 guillester finally reached out to me because i replied to one of his twitter posts where he was looking for decorators. back then, the level was going to be decorated as a collab, and the gameplay part that caught my attention the most was the first drop part with the wave dash orbs. it was the first part i finished, and the only part that was previewed before the level's release. after i finished the first part the progress significantly slowed down. i was demotivated to work on the level because it felt very inconsistent with another part that was in the works, and with that i kinda lost hope in executing my vision for this level. after some time, noone was really working on the level anymore, and i offered guillester to decorate the entire thing myself. it's a lot of work, but i'm much better with solos than collabs, especially if it's people i'm not very familiar with. i've also been able to consistently release multiple full length levels a year, so i was very confident i'd be able to do it on my own. i returned to building the level, and while it did take longer than i expected because of many contests i really wanted to participate in, i think it was worth the wait. i decided to cancel my duality gauntlet contest entry to finally get this level done, i really didn't want to delay it further. it feels really good to be at this point after all this time, in 2022 i really wouldn't think i'd be here right now to be honest, this is the hardest thing i've ever had to decorate due to the amount of off-grid gameplay elements and very unconventional structuring. in addition to that, i know this will 100% be my most popular level and the level i'm most known for, and because of that it was pretty stressful to make. the bar is very high, considering this is a spiritual successor to nhelv (NOT a sequel). despite all of this, i really enjoyed building it! i tried many new things that were really fun to make and i'm very satisfied with how the level looks!! it feels nice to have finished a level as big as this, because i've never really had a huge gd level project before, most of my other levels didn't take longer than 3 months to make. i hope you like the result too! i think it was a great decision not to preview most of the level until it's done, it made the anticipation and the premiere itself very exciting once again thanks to guillester for letting me decorate this, thanks to all my friends who supported me throughout the building process and gave feedback, and thanks to you all for reading this description. it will take some time to playtest and verify this, which guillester will be streaming on his channel. there is still a lot of work to do to make sure it's as fun as possible, and i can't wait to release it !! - id: to be verified music: "Rainshower" by Silentroom (https://youtu.be/tLL8cqRmaNE) thumbnail by @Onvil_ - discord: ivyteal_ discord server: https://discord.gg/QCPZfTFSpF
