In June 2024, the prominent US think tank, The Atlantic Council, published a report exposing India. According to the report, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has been stockpiling a significant amount of gold since 2017. In fact, in 2024, India became the world’s second-largest gold buyer. Essentially, between 2023 and 2024, the RBI's gold purchases increased fourfold within just one year. This is massive! For ordinary citizens like us, this might seem like just another piece of news.
