Over the years, I've noticed an increasing trend of slavery in Isekai Anime. I decided to look into the background of why this was happening, which led to me uncovering a lot of information about Comfort Women. This was an alarming and truly novel learning experience about a very undermentioned piece of history that was truly awful and has been largely politicized by the Japanese government. This uncovering has led me to the conclusion that a lot of the reasons that Isekai Anime is so casual in the face of oppression is that they don't have enough information on the topic of slavery.
