Why it closed The closure followed the university’s strategic reshaping and asset sales of non-core campuses. The University of Law has sold and closed other campuses in recent years as it restructured and consolidated its provision into other sites and university partnerships. The Guildford site was sold to a developer (Elysian Residences) and closed on 30 June 2024. In November 2023 Elysian submitted a hybrid planning application for redevelopment of the site into a later-living community.
