Hello and welcome to Charlie’s Guitar Stroke Recovery! This week, I want to share with you a powerful idea that has been driving my recovery journey - the concept that every moment is a gift. I truly believe that each day, each hour, each minute is a blessing, and we should approach it with gratitude, purpose, and wisdom. The Bible teaches us that time is a precious gift from God. In Psalm 118:24, it is written, "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." This verse reminds us that each day is a creation of God, and we should approach it with joy and thankfulness. Additionally, James 1:17 tells us that every good and perfect gift comes from above, further reinforcing the idea that we should appreciate and make the most of each moment we are given. One key principle that the Scriptures emphasize is the importance of living intentionally and wisely. In Psalm 90:1, we are encouraged to "number our days," meaning that we should be mindful of the limited time we have on this earth and use it wisely. This is especially relevant for stroke survivors like me, who are on a journey of recovery and rehabilitation. This week in my guitar practice, I decided to experiment with a slow blues gospel sound, trying out different motif designs. It was a challenging experience for my recovering right hand, but I was determined to push myself forward. As stroke warriors, it is crucial for us to keep striving, keep trying, and never give up. I firmly believe that success comes from the act of trying itself. Final thoughts, I want to encourage all stroke survivors and musicians out there to keep strumming for life. Each moment, each effort, each small step forward is a victory. Let us approach each day with gratitude, purpose, and wisdom, knowing that every moment is a gift from above. Together, we can overcome any challenge and make beautiful music out of our lives. Remember, every moment is a gift - make the most of it!
