It takes two days to check out all sections of Tokaido Shinkansen and Sanyo Shinkansen (Tokyo to Hakata: about 1,100 km) and is consider “The Doctor” of the Shikasen. Normally, passengers are not allowed to ride in inspection cars, but this time, an event was held for three days from August 22 to 24 to experience riding in the cars. Only 300 people who were selected by lottery were able to participate in the event, making it a rare opportunity.
