I have been drawing the fighting cats for thirteen years of my life that is OVER HALF MY LIFE send help. I've followed the community closely all these years despite withdrawing from participating in it for quite a long stretch. Having seen it grow from just the handful of us to this gigantic sprawling community is mind-boggling. Seriously all the crazy talented animators here are forever going to be one of my biggest sources of inspiration, y'all are nuts 😳 Neopets was what introduced me to digital art, while Warriors (and everyone who had an animated wolf series lmao) is what introduced me to animation and made me realize as an 11 year old kid that it was possible to animate in Windows Movie Maker and good old MS Paint. Growing up I always told everyone I wanted to be an animator, but when it became time to sort out my future I kind of realized I... wasn't actually even very enthusiastic about animating at all, I definitely did NOT like it enough to pursue it like I always thought I would. I LOVE animation don't get me wrong, but actually ANIMATING on the other hand... I really would much rather paint! So now I study illustration instead and I'm much happier doing that. Only in the past year or two have I rekindled my enjoyment of animating now that I've gone into it with the intention of doing it only as a hobby that's just for ME, low investment and just for fun, and I'll start up and stop whenever I feel like it. :^) And yet with all my conflicting feelings about animation, I start my first internship in a few days illustrating AND animating video game assets... So I guess it's just in my nature to end up somewhere squat in the middle. But I'm very excited for it!!
