Booking Link of our Stay: https://www.trip.com/t/vmpLEdIGQV2 Hey guys, we are back with another video exploring another city of our Incredible India. This time we explored the cultural capital of Gujarat - Vadodara. Here is how we spent two days here: But before that; People often ask how I keep up with my skincare routine while traveling, and honestly, it’s simple: I reapply sunscreen every two hours. Right now, I'm using Garnier Super UV Invisible Air Mist Sunscreen, which has SPF 50 and PA 4+. I love it beacause it doesn't not leave a white cast, and it’s incredibly portable and you can easily apply it over makeup. You can get yours here: https://amzn.to/4ew5XhJ @GarnierIndia #vadodara #thingstodo #garniersuperuvsunscreen #spfeveryday #garnierskincare #ad Day 1: We started our day with visiting one of the entry points of Vadodara city and that is Mandovi Gate. It is right in the middle of the older part of the city. Open for 24 hours. From there we visited one of the important monument known as Kirti Stambh which was built to celebrate the achievements and contribution of Maharaja Sayaji Rao Gaekwad III towards Vadodara. Open for 24 hours. Near Kirti Stambh, there is a very famous breakfast spot which serves Vadodara's Favourite Sev Usal. Vadodara has a beautiful blend of Marathi and Gujarati culture, we see that in food too. It's a must try, name of this place is Jay Mahakali Sev Usal. Time: 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM Cost: INR 55 per plate After having the lip smacking spicy Sev Usal, we were craving for some sweet. That's why we visited Duliram Pendavala which is running this Halwai ki dukan from more than 150 years. Can you imagine? Don't miss their Penda, it's so delicious. We took 4 Pedas and it costs us INR 40. Time: 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM Now it was time to see World's largest private residence - The Laxmi Vilas Palace. It is one of the most luxurious and lavish palace in the world. The area of the palace is more than 500 acres and it is a residence of The Gaekwad family. You can see some parts of the palace which is divided in 11 points. You can't see most of the palace as Gaekwad family still lives here. Entry Fees: INR 200 Time: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Closed on Monday. We ended our first day with having lunch at Kathiyawadi Khadki which is famous for their Gujarati and Kathiyawadi Thalis. Time: 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM & 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM Cost: INR 210 per Thali Day 2: We started day 2 with Sayaji Bang also known as Kamathi Baug. This is 113 acres park and it was gifted by Sayajirao Gaekwad III to Vadodara's People. This park has gardens, Joy Train, Zoo, Planetarium, Museum & Art Gallery. Don't miss our on Museum, it's has artefacts from 5th century and a full skeleton of extinct blue whale. You can even spend half day in this park, it is that huge. Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Entry Fees For Museum: INR 100 After spending more than 3 hours here and went straight to Raju Omelet which is famous for their variety of omelettes. Time: 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM From there we went to Kirti Mandir, it is a Royal Mausoleum of Gaekwads, It is designed in E shape which is very unique and rare design. A true architectural marvel. Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM & 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM Farsan in Gujarati food holds a very important place, so here we tried the King of all Farsans - The Tam Tam by Shriram Tam Tam Vala. It is a mixture of 26 different parsons like sev, gathiya, chivda, wafer, peanuts and they served it with some onion, raw mango, green chilis, pomegranate, squeezed lemon, grapes. It was so delicious and has so many flavours. If you love to eat chaat then don't miss it. Time: 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM Last spot of our trip was Sursagar lake, which is again in the city centre and very very close to Mandovi gate, you can even do shopping in this area as Mangal market is right opposite from this lake.
