This is a mod recreation of the Ocarina of Time demo shown at Spaceworld 1997, about 1 year before OoT's release. You can find information on how to play this, credits to all the people involved in this large project, and other details about the project here https://github.com/z64proto/sw97/blob/master/README.md Release Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6YBUPfMWt8 Several members of the development team for this mod were in chat for this - If you see messages from Fig02, MrCheeze, or CDiFails, they are usually sharing some cool and important information. In July 2020, there was a large leak of many prototypes of old nintendo games, including Ocarina of Time. This was originally mistaken to be the games source code, which it was not, but it did contain a lot of beta content like unused textures, enemies items and a few maps. Very little actual code came from this leak. In early 2021, a development cartridge of F-Zero X was found, but the game only took up half the cartridge. After looking into it, the other half of the cartridge was part of the Spaceworld 97 demo for Ocarina of Time. Because of half the game being overwritten by F-Zero, this contained no code, but a large amount of assets including maps, textures, and text. TCRF page with more in depth information on the overdump https://tcrf.net/Proto:The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Ocarina_of_Time/Late_1997_Overdump Because very little of either of these pieces of beta information contained any actual code, the differences in code had to be manually rewritten. This was done by closely examining old screenshots, videos, reports, and unused code that happened to still be present in the final game. This was done thanks to the OoT decompilation project (https://zelda64.dev/progress.html), which aims to disassemble and recreate OoT's source code, which made it much easier to begin rewriting code. Due to the nature of the available information, this can't be confirmed as exactly how the OoT prototype was, but does as good of a job as possible to be accurate. See the "inaccuracies" section in the github linked above to read about some of these issues. 0:00 Intro Cutscene 1:42 Explanation of this recreation 4:13 Start/Kokiri Forest 10:38 Deku Tree 30:16 Accidental reset/redoing Deku (skip this part) 41:08 Back to where I was before reset 49:32 Gohma 51:23 Hyrule Castle/Market 1:00:49 Hyrule Field 1:09:38 Death Mountain Trail 1:13:33 Dodongo's Cavern 1:33:22 King Dodongo 1:37:38 "Special Course" (Future Gerudo Training Grounds) 1:45:06 Stalfos 1:47:01 Beta Items 1:50:38 Medallion Spells and Arrows 1:56:54 Testing Items on Enemies 2:06:57 Lost Woods 2:14:35 Sacred Forest Meadow 2:15:30 Forest Temple 2:35:26 Fire Temple 2:54:37 Water Temple 3:07:14 Kakariko 3:12:46 Graveyard 3:13:23 Revisiting Lost Woods/SFM 3:18:12 Lake Hylia 3:21:00 Cuccos 3:22:33 Zora's River 3:26:35 Zora's Fountain 3:27:21 Gerudo Valley 3:30:29 Death Mountain Crater 3:34:46 Death Mountain Entrance 3:36:25 Death Mountain Caverns 3:39:44 Revisiting Market 3:42:58 Chamber of Sages 3:44:24 Fairy Fountain 3:44:44 Hyrule Castle Garden 3:45:51 Target Range 3:48:10 Shops 3:49:16 Grotto 3:49:44 Revisiting Kokiri Forest 3:51:10 Water Cavern 3:52:15 Old Hyrule Field 3:55:55 Jabu Jabu Dungeon (Test) 3:57:18 Deku Tree Dungeon (Test) 3:59:27 Gohma Boss (Test) 4:01:17 Fire Temple Dungeon (Test) 4:03:38 Ganon's Tower 4:09:10 Various Test Map 4:21:28 Kokiri Village (Old) 4:36:41 Switching to N64 to show a few things properly 4:47:35 Ending Follow me here: Live at: https://www.twitch.tv/zfg1 Twitter: https://twitter.com/zfg111 Editor: https://twitter.com/Dry4Haz
