🤬 How to Trade Futures | 4 Trades, 4 Wins | $280 USD Targets Want to learn how to trade futures successfully? One of the most important lessons every beginner trader must understand is how to position a stop loss correctly. In today's Samurai Day Trading Academy session, we demonstrate 4 trades, 4 wins and $280 USD profit targets, while explaining one of the most common mistakes made by beginner futures traders. THE BIG LESSON: YOUR STOP LOSS MUST BE DEFINED BY THE MARKET — NOT BY THE SIZE OF YOUR TRADING ACCOUNT! Many beginner traders make the mistake of deciding how much risk they are comfortable taking and then positioning their stop loss at an arbitrary distance from their entry. For example, when trading the German DAX futures market (FDAX), a trader might decide that a 20-point or 25-point stop loss is the maximum they are prepared to accept. But what happens when the market structure requires a 45-point stop loss? That's exactly what we encountered in today's trading session. A trader who places their stop loss too close to their entry risks being stopped out by normal market movement, even when the original trading setup remains valid. THREE CHOICES EVERY FUTURES TRADER MUST UNDERSTAND OPTION 1 — DON'T TAKE THE TRADE If the risk required by the market exceeds your trading plan or account limits, simply don't take the trade. There will always be another trading opportunity. OPTION 2 — REDUCE YOUR CONTRACT SIZE If the FDAX requires a wider stop loss than your account can reasonably accommodate, consider using the smaller Micro-DAX (FDXM) futures contract. This allows you to maintain a technically appropriate stop loss while reducing the monetary exposure. OPTION 3 — USE THE MARKET-DEFINED STOP LOSS If your account size and risk management rules permit, position your stop loss at the appropriate technical level defined by market structure. The important point is that the market determines where the trade idea becomes invalid. Your account risk limits determine whether you can afford to take that trade and how many contracts you can trade. Never widen your financial risk beyond your trading plan simply to accommodate a setup. TODAY'S LIVE TRADING RESULTS 🏆 4 Trades 🏆 4 Wins 🏆 100% Winning Session 🎯 $280 USD Profit Targets During today's session, the traders who correctly positioned their stop losses according to market structure were able to participate in four consecutive winning trades. The difference was not predicting the market more accurately. It was understanding the trade setup, respecting the required stop loss location and allowing the market sufficient room to develop.
