The song is about the space between 2 people in a relationship - or the lack of it. Relationships have their own balance. I guess it's a question of love, power, and personalities. Here, I try to characterize that feeling when one part feels the other is taking 'too much' and not respecting the space of the other part, as much as one should. In this song, admit my guilt in taking 'too much ground,' now and then. It's a healthy thing, I figure. We grow and we learn. Honesty is key. The song involves the same go-to team of producers and players I often use. It's written by Regnar and I - both music and lyrics. Regnar is a 'brother from another mother! ' And he's a really talented guy - musically and visually. We go back a long time. I have much to thank him for. Lasse Illington Mosegard is producing very ably, despite being in Barcelona. Lars Brems engineered my vocals, as usual. I love singing for Lars. We fight like cats & dogs sometimes, but he gets the vocals out of me. He drives in from Sweden to record me in my studio. It's an effort, so I'm deeply appreciative. Lasse did well with this production. Lasse is a talented piano player, and you can hear that it that groovy Rhodes. Lasse I mixed, Kristian Dalsgaard ('Ark') engineered, and Streaky, as usual. mastered the track in London. Mikkel Toft is on guitar. Helge Solberg on bass. Fleming Rothaus on the kit. And in particular, Jens Hack is playing that groovy, sexy sax. Jens is a real professional. We also go way back. He comes, hears what you have to say, and lays down some great tracks. He really makes the vibe of this number. On the video, you'll see a pretty young Asian girl playing sax. That's because Jens hasn't been feeling well, and we decided to 'lip sync' a young lady on his track. She, is the work of my dear video engineer Nico Delgado. Pure Ai - and damned if you can tell!! We had to get this one out, as I haven't released anything in a while. So, given the nature of this track, we decided to keep it genuine and simple: "a song, a singer, and a sax player!" Maybe you'll find it too simple, but we had a time constraint and it is what it is. To note, we are many people who contribute to these productions. It's far from just me singing a capella. While,my name is on it, everyone has a solid hand in it, and all those hands and voices are what you hear and see. I want to thank EVERYONE who participated - with ideas, or actual musical or visual contributions. It's a collaborative effort throughout!! We ALL hope you enjoy it!
