Hola todos, hello everyone, bonjour tout le monde. So I wanted to make a new video today and this one is titled « I WILL VOTE NO AT THE THIRD REFERENDUM! » and here it goes. All the latest polls from the last few months are showing that the Parti Québécois is ahead of every other party in the voting intentions for the upcoming Québec provincial election of October 2026. So, maybe Québec will go through a third referendum for independence, if the Parti Québécois wins. But seriously, of course it’s embarrassing to be a Québécois/French-Canadian in the modern era, because we are the province that had TWO referendums for independence and failed both times! Many people in this province still want us to separate and hold a third referendum for independence. But I think it’s not worth it. Because if we hold a third referendum and the « NO » side wins again, it would be terrible for Québec and its image and our relationship with the rest of Canada! We are already the « black sheep » of Canada because we speak a different language than the rest of this country, we don’t have to be the province who breaks up this country on top of that! I wouldn’t mind if Alberta and the « Wexit » movement won their independence and separated from this country, but I think it’s too late for Québec to separate! We will see who wins the Québec provincial election in 1 year from now, but I doubt we are heading towards independence. Maybe I am wrong. Who knows? We shall see… I am happy and proud to be a Québécois and also a Canadian. I am happy to speak both English and French. I am happy to be part of a first-world country of almost 42 million people. I am happy to live in a country that is a safe haven for many people and is a welcoming country for immigrants from all over the world. It would break my heart if my country broke up and I was separated from my fellow countrymen. I just don’t see a need for Québec to separate from the rest of Canada! #WeAreStrongerTogether This country has done everything they could to make Québécois/French-Canadians feel like we are welcome in Canada and are fully a part of this beautiful country. Canada made French the second official language of this country in 1969, and the province of Québec made French the official language of this province in 1974. The majority of the rest of Canada believe that Québec should stay a part of Canada and should remain a Canadian province. Most people in this country love us and want us to be part of Canada! We should show the same love back and vote for political parties that advocate Québec staying part of Canada. And these past few months with the USA President Donald Trump suggesting that Canada could become the USA’s 51st state, it’s not the right time for Quebecers to think about separating and creating our own country. I was born in this country and I spoke French for over 33 years and nobody has ever made me feel unwelcome in Canada. Francophone Canadians in the modern era are not being oppressed by Canada.
