And that experiment raises a serious question about school security: How much time can a locked door actually buy when someone is determined to get inside? In this video, I break down the reported shooting, the armed citizen who intervened, my own school-door experiment, and the problem with response plans that depend on someone getting to a firearm after the shooting starts.
