So meet J shows us the events before the pilot from the point of view of J. In the end credits we can see it was written by the zamination guys who wrote the music video last year and at the very end it says based on the original series by liam vickers. Liam shared one of the teasers on bluesky, but it seems clear that he wasn’t involved with the video. Personally i think the video is canon. Firstly the thumbnail follows the style of the official episodes with the text and everything. It’s different from the traditional merch ads. The video itself is faithful to the lore, and we learn lots of new things. We find out how J obtained her pen which she has in the pilot. We learn more things about her character, like her feelings about Cyn and the fact she likes to drink battery acid. We get to see the three disassembly drones together before n’s memory loss which we didn’t see that much in the show. and then we see uzi with her rifle, just like in the pilot. So overall i think this video is canon. It’s clearly glitch trying to flesh out the murder drones world and give us answers to things fans have been wondering. J especially was a character myself and alot of people thought deserved more screentime, so they’re making up for it here. So what do you think? Do you think meet J is canon?
