Dusk, 1-20--2025, near Countryside Pizza. The first playthrough of the clip is sped up to show all the events in under a minute. At the transition, it replays at regular speed for those who want to take a closer look at the footage. I took my brand-new FIMI Mini 3 for its second flight, and on the second half of my second battery I noticed an unusual light in the sky. I pan right to observe it, maintaining my altitude of 400 ft with no lateral movement. The clip begins in night mode, and after I notice the movement of that bizarre light in the sky, I pan further and a second orbit appears out of thin air. The orbs slowly move closer to each other, and I switch my camera to normal video mode so I can use zoom (that's when the footage darkens). When I zoom in 12 times you can see the strange, shimmering orange to gold light of the orb. As the two orbs get to the closest point of their approach, they stop and begin pulsing in a seemingly communicative way. I continue to film until I got my critical battery warning and had to land. When the drone sent that warning to the controller, at that moment the Orb on the left seemingly notices that it's being watched and moves at the highest rate of speed we've seen yet in this clip as it leaves the scene. The orb that materialized remains in place until I can't see it above the trees anymore. Once My drone had landed I immediately fired up my other camera and started my usual film the sky routine and found an incredible number of orbs at altitude moving across the sky. To be clear, that's a daily occurrence where I live now. Anybody living in Veneta- take a sensitive camera, sensitive as you can find but even a wyze cam will do the trick. Take that camera and point it straight up on any clear evening. Turn on motion alerts or motion recording, turn off the infrared floodlight, and put it on normal color mode or infared. Yes you do see more with infrared turned on however I find that the footage is more appealing and you still see all these orbs just fine in regular light. You will see at least a dozen moving objects typically going about the same speed but flying unusual vectors, not following the flow of commercial air traffic, not showing up when back checking the flightradar24 and ADS-B database. None of what you see that isn't flashing will be a plane. Airliners can look similar however they don't just leave a light trail but also a contrail typically, and also they always have the strobe. Only under very specific circumstances and permissions can any aircraft run strobeless. Next post will be the cam footage from the same trip.
