Evolution of #mcdonalds The business was originally simply a little food cart called the Airdrome before becoming McDonald's as we know it today. The tiny, octagonal stand, which was founded by Patrick McDonald in 1937 and was located in Monrovia, California, was unique both in terms of its name and cuisine; it mostly served hot dogs, though hamburgers would subsequently be added to the selection. Within three years, things started to alter, but not in a way that could be compared to the setting that would eventually become the McDonald's that we are all familiar with. Maurice and Dick, two of Patrick's sons, renovated the Airdrome and moved it to San Bernadino, California. The tiny drive-thru would be referred to as McDonald's Bar-B-Que here. There were more than forty grilled dishes on the menu, as you might anticipate from the new moniker. After failing in the film industry, they found success in operating drive-in eateries. They took a gamble in 1948 by streamlining its processes and creating the Speedee Service System, which featured 15 cent hamburgers. The restaurant's popularity prompted the brothers to start franchising their concept, with nine of them becoming operational establishments. Dick and Mac McDonald perfected their Speedee Service System at the San Bernardino facility, which had a restricted menu of fifteen cent hamburgers, shakes, and fries. In addition to their first establishment in San Bernardino, the brothers sold 14 franchises, 10 of which became operational restaurants. Ray Kroc: Ray Kroc, a native Chicagoan, dropped out of high school during his sophomore year to join the Red Cross Ambulance Corps during World War One. Ray returned home to work as a musician and eventually sold paper cups after the war ended before his unit was transferred overseas. He became the Multimixer's exclusive dealer in 1939. (a milkshake mixing machine). In 1954, he paid a visit to the McDonald brothers, which led to him becoming their franchise agent. Kroc opened the first McDonald's east of the Mississippi River in 1955. #kfc Watch the entire video for more information! _________________________________________________________________ About Evolution of Things Videos about Evolution and history of Things and Technology Written, voiced and produced by Evolution of Things Subscribe now for more Evolution of Things and Technology videos Watch More from Evolution of Things š¢ Evolution of the Computer https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYNq464XiyEHVO5IGeUYomU7AqMcr73F1 š Evolution of the Phone https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYNq464XiyEHVO5IGeUYomU7AqMcr73F1 š¢ Evolution of the Camera https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYNq464XiyEHVO5IGeUYomU7AqMcr73F1 š Evolution of the Radio https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYNq464XiyEHVO5IGeUYomU7AqMcr73F1 _____________________________________________________ Business Inquiries and Contact ⢠For business inquiries, copyright matters or other inquiries please contact us at: [email protected] ā Copyright Questions ⢠If you have any copyright questions or issues you can contact us at [email protected] Copyright Disclaimers ⢠We use images and content in accordance with the YouTube Fair Use copyright guidelines ⢠Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act states: āNotwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright.ā ⢠This video could contain certain copyrighted video clips, pictures, or photographs that were not specifically authorized to be used by the copyright holder(s), but which we believe in good faith are protected by federal law and the fair use doctrine for one or more of the reasons noted above.
