You've probably seen the claims: "$500 a day trading." "$1,000 every morning." "Just make 1% per day." "$10,000 a month from forex." But there's one number that's nearly always missing: **the amount of capital required to produce that return.** In this video, I get the calculator out and break down the real maths behind making $1,000 a day trading. Because $1,000 a day sounds surprisingly reasonable when it's presented on its own. But across roughly 250 trading days, that's around **$250,000 per year**. So what happens if you're trying to generate that from a $10,000 trading account? Or $25,000? $50,000? $100,000? $500,000? Suddenly, the exact same "$1,000 a day" claim tells a completely different story. I also break down the popular **"just make 1% a day trading"** idea and show what would happen if you genuinely compounded 1% every trading day. The numbers get ridiculous very quickly. More importantly, I'll show you the questions I believe every trader should ask when they see profit screenshots, income claims or trading results online: • What was the account size? • What percentage return was generated? • How much was risked? • What was the drawdown? • Over what period? • Were withdrawals included? • Are you seeing the complete track record or just selected winners? Because a $1,000 trading profit means almost nothing without knowing the denominator. Towards the end of the video, I'll also show you an example from one of my own trading strategies and demonstrate why apparently "boring" returns can become extremely powerful when you combine consistency, sensible risk management, capital and time. Let me know in the comments if you'd like me to break down more trading claims like this.
