I made a video saying the mainstream media would never highlight the armed citizen who shot back during the Idaho In-N-Out mass shooting. So let me eat it. ABC News did exactly that. They showed the video. They named the armed civilian. They mentioned the off-duty state trooper. And they told the story straight: Two men fired back. That matters. Because the shooter walked into that parking lot expecting victims, not resistance. He had the rifle. He had the reach. He had the rounds. But the second rounds started coming back at him, everything changed. His bravado crumbled. That is the part people need to understand about these cowards. They are not looking for a fight. They are looking for the softest target possible and the longest uninterrupted timeline they can get. An armed citizen and an off-duty trooper helped break that timeline. And they deserve credit. Christopher Claunch and Ashley Garibay are the names that matter most in this story. They were real people with real families, and two of the wounded were still critical. But we also need to show the people who fight back. Interview them. Put them on the morning show. Run the tape. Because for decades, people have been told they are helpless until police arrive.
