Deadman Point offers incredible canyon views, but our latest trip revealed a concerning trend. Several established campsites and routes that were once accessible are now blocked. We explore the history of this remote area while documenting the specific routes impacted by recent BLM decisions. This journey highlights the ongoing challenges facing public land access in the region. By examining the current state of these Moab off-road paths, we aim to shed light on how trail closures affect the future of recreation. Understanding these changes is essential for anyone who values maintaining freedom in our Utah backcountry. Join us for stunning aerial views as our journey takes us along a 43-mile road/trail that is about 45 minutes North of Moab. This trail has your typical Moab type scenery with sagebrush and sand, but it's the views that make this all worth it. We make several stops along the way at dispersed campsites and overlooks even catching a glimpse of Hellroaring Canyon. Along the way, we also discover that several trail routes and campsites were closed by the BLM in 2023. These closures raise important questions about land management, safety, public land access, and the future of recreation in this remote part of Utah.
