Same man who plays Reacher btw… the RANGE is absolutely insane 😭😂 Before Alan Ritchson became the giant, intimidating former military investigator who can silence a room just by walking into it… he was Thad Castle in Blue Mountain State. 😭💀 And if you only know him from Reacher, watching this show for the first time must feel like discovering forbidden footage 😂 In Season 3, Episode 5, “Training Day,” Thad decides Alex Moran needs to learn what being a local celebrity really means. Sounds reasonable. Unfortunately… Thad is the teacher. Which means the lesson immediately becomes completely ridiculous 😭 That was the genius of Alan Ritchson in this role. Thad could take the smallest situation imaginable and react like the fate of the entire football program depended on it. He was: overconfident, dramatic, aggressive, weirdly emotional, completely unpredictable… and somehow 100% convinced every terrible idea he had was actually wisdom 😂 Then years later Ritchson becomes Jack Reacher, and the contrast is ridiculous. Reacher: barely raises his voice and everyone gets nervous. 🥶 Thad Castle: turns ordering lunch into a psychological operation. 💀 Same actor. Completely different energy. That’s what makes going back to Blue Mountain State so much fun now. You’re basically watching the future star of one of TV’s biggest action series behaving like the human embodiment of a terrible decision 😭😂 And honestly, it proves how underrated Alan Ritchson’s comedy chops are. A lot of actors can play intimidating. A lot can play ridiculous. Doing BOTH this convincingly? That’s range. Reacher fans — did you know THIS was Alan Ritchson before Jack Reacher? 👀👇 #AlanRitchson #Reacher #BlueMountainState #ThadCastle #JackReacher #BMS #Comedy #TVComedy #FunnyScenes #PrimeVideo
