A new weather system is advancing towards India from abroad. Weather experts have indicated the possibility that the Bay of Bengal’s weather may turn rough due to this new seasonal system. According to the latest forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a cyclonic circulation is present over the Gulf of Thailand. Under its influence, activity may increase in the Andaman Sea until 11 October 2026. This system will then move forward, which could lead to the formation of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal by 13 October. Its impact is likely to bring rain accompanied by strong winds in the coastal states of West Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, as well as in Bihar, Jharkhand and the northeastern states. Meanwhile, a western disturbance is active over the northern parts of the country. Due to this, there is also a possibility of rain with strong winds over Delhi-NCR, western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. According to the IMD, along with the rain, winds may blow at speeds of 40–50 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 60 kmph. भारत पर एक और तूफानी वेदर सिस्‍टम का साया गहराने लगा है. नई मौसम प्रणाली विदेश से भारत की ओर बढ़ रही है. वेदर एक्‍सपर्ट्स ने नए मौसमी चूरन की वजह से बंगाल की खाड़ी का हाजमा खराब होने की आशंका जताई है. भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) की ओर से जारी ताजा पूर्वानुमान के अनुसार, थाईलैंड की खाड़ी में साइक्‍लोनिक सर्कुलेशन यानी चक्रवातीय परिसंचरण बना हुआ है. इसके प्रभाव से अंडमान सागर में 11 अक्‍टूबर 2026 तक हलचल बढ़ सकती है. यह सिस्‍टम इसके बाद आगे बढ़ेगा, जिससे बंगाल की खाड़ी में 13 अक्‍टूबर तक लो-प्रेशर बन सकता है. इसका असर तटवर्ती राज्‍यों पश्चिम बंगाल, ओडिशा, आंध्र प्रदेश के साथ ही बिहार, झारखंड और पूर्वोत्‍तर के राज्‍यों में तेज हवा के साथ बारिश होने की संभावना है. उधर, देश के उत्‍तरी हिस्‍से में पश्चिमी विक्षोभ सक्रिय है. इसकी वजह से दिल्‍ली-एनसीआर के साथ ही पश्चिमी उत्‍तर प्रदेश, पंजाब, हरियाणा, जम्‍मू-कश्‍मीर, उत्‍तराखंड और हिमाचल प्रदेश में भी तेज हवा के साथ बारिश की संभावना बनी हुई है.
