How many do you know? Civil Revolt is a unique track in our album. It is the only track that comes in series. In Chapter One we talked about the uprising in Ching Dynasty. In Chapter Two we want to introduce you to the Japanese colonial period. In 1915, initiated by Yu Ching-Fang, the Xilai Temple Incident, also known as Ta-Pa-Ni Incident or Yu-Ching Incident, was the first time for an uprising against the Japanese government to be organized with religious forces. It was also the last wave of armed anti-Japanese actions. This was a story that rarely mentioned in the textbooks and we would love to introduce the event through the lyrics. Though the Ta-Pa-Ni uprising was a failed attempt, it was however still a story worth learning. The only way for Taiwanese to succeed is to unite together and not repeat the same mistakes in our sad history. This track uses Zither to create the galloping horse momentum as in the Chinese classic "General's Command". With heavy drumbeats, this track gives a grandeur feel like a military going on an expedition. We have once again invited Chang Jui-Chuan to work with us. With his interpretation in English, we hope to encourage international understanding of the history. And we look forward to sharing with you a third chapter of the series.
