A Learjet 55 air ambulance taking an 11-year-old girl and her mother home to Mexico lifts off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport into low cloud. Less than a minute later it hits Cottman Avenue beside the Roosevelt Mall. Eight people die. There was no mayday, and the cockpit voice recorder had not recorded anything for years. This is that flight second by second, rebuilt from the NTSB's tracking data and public docket (ERA25MA106): the slow roll to the left inside the cloud, the pitch the crew could have felt versus the real one, the trim found in the wreckage, the silent recorder, and an operator with no FAA inspection on record. As of 5 November 2026 the NTSB has not determined a probable cause. 0:00 Cold open 1:53 Going home 4:25 Runway twenty-four 6:28 Thirty-eight seconds 9:43 Cottman Avenue 12:12 She was going home 14:42 The silent recorder 17:20 Twenty-three degrees up 19:55 Nobody checked 21:59 Cottman Avenue, today 📄 Sources, photo credits and corrections: https://reconstructed.tv/sources/philly-learjet?m=desc Records and video: NTSB public docket ERA25MA106 (public domain), NTSB B-roll and media briefing (public domain), FAA.
