What initially looked like a straightforward recommissioning job quickly became more interesting when we discovered that the engine timing appeared to be incorrect. So the team got to work. We carried out a new timing belt and water pump, corrected the timing, performed a full service including new spark plugs, and went through the car to give this forgotten Subaru the best chance of making it back onto the road. But there was one problem... Petrolheadonism Live was getting closer. This wasn't just about getting an old Subaru started in the workshop. We had to get it repaired, running properly and ready in time to be revealed to its owner at the event. Did we make it?
