The front suspension design has a specific feature: the brake disc is mounted behind the wheel hub. This means the disc cannot be removed separately in the usual way. The hub must first be unbolted from the steering knuckle, and the hub and brake disc are removed together. • One of the main difficulties is corrosion. Over time, the wheel hub can seize inside the steering knuckle, making the joint extremely difficult to separate. If the hub is removed carelessly, the brake disc can be damaged, especially when it needs to be reused. • I demonstrate one way to separate the seized hub carefully using a bolt and nut. The tool is positioned through an opening accessible after removing the brake caliper, allowing the hub to be gradually pushed out of its mounting bore. • The position of the bolt and its contact point must be monitored throughout the process. If necessary, use a suitable spacer between the bolt and the brake disc to protect the disc surface. Apply force gradually and watch the hub as it begins to move. • This method can help remove a corroded wheel hub while reducing the risk of damaging a brake disc that needs to be retained.
