This is a fan trailer for the video game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, based on the main trailer for Dune: Part Three: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdvqHc56lE0 Expedition 33 has become one of my favorite games ever so it was the perfect inspiration to get me to actually make trailers again. It took a while to find an audio source to use for the Dune trailer, especially because I had to use the cut down imax version to get something usable and lengthen it to suit the pacing of the original trailer. It's not perfect but I'm fairly happy with how it sounds. The more interesting part of this video is frankly that I've never done a video game trailer before, it was a huge learning curve (and on top of learning FCP). I had to find a good source for footage and then a couple spots with gameplay (but with the hud removed). I even had to learn FModel so I could get the voice lines and sfx, and then I had to borrow my sibling's rig so I could mod the game to collect footage for a certain scene I can't really talk about (if you played the game, you know which one). This is also my first 4K video, and I've been very impressed with how FCP handled it. Anyways, tell me what you think. I might do another E33 trailer, I've been very intrigued by the recent VisionQuest trailer, it feels like something that could work really well with Act 2 of the game.
