The Tailored Arms Torch is one of the most interesting 2011s I've tested this year... and not for the reasons you might expect. In this review, I put the brand-new 5" V6-ported Torch through the same performance testing you've come to expect on the channel. We run Bill Drills, 10 Out of 10, Strong Hand/Weak Hand, and finish with the MSP Black Belt Standard to see how it stacks up under pressure. Along the way, I experiment with different recoil spring weights, encounter an intermittent trigger issue, and evaluate how the pistol performs when pushed hard on the timer. We also take a look at Tailored Arms' unique debris-clearing rail channels and discuss whether they're a meaningful innovation. But here's where things take an unexpected turn... After filming the original review, I had extensive conversations with Tailored Arms. Instead of ignoring the feedback, they listened. Since this video was originally filmed, they've already begun making significant changes to the Torch, including: • A lower MSRP • An updated magwell • An updated trigger • A lower-profile front sight • ...and even more that I can't talk about just yet. Because of those changes, I decided to scrap my original outro and film a new one.
