He says that there were about 8 chapters on all this, but only one chapter on the Kingdoms of the South. He tells that the Chola rule lasted for about 2400 years while the Mughal and British rule lasted only 800 years, despite this the Mughal and British rule were taught more! Madhavan says that Tamil is a very old language. People know more about it and it is widely spoken. But nothing was mentioned about this in the syllabus.
