What strange power for an L817. Normally, it runs a solo Geep, usually a GP40 variant. I have seen a GP38 variant on it before, and I also spotted an SD40 variant once, but an HTE CM44 is just odd. For starters, several of the industrial sidings that L817 works (especially in Lagrange) have poor track quality, and are also long enough that the power has to back onto them to gather the cars from the industries. Part of HTE is being heavier ballasted,on top of the basic AC4400 already being significantly heavier than the gen-2 EMDs that typically work L817. So…why is there a CM44AH assigned to this thing?
