On July 28, 2010, Airblue Flight 202, an Airbus A321, took off from Karachi, Pakistan, bound for Islamabad. What should have been a routine domestic flight with 152 people onboard became the deadliest air disaster in Pakistan’s history. As the aircraft approached Islamabad, dense fog covered the Margalla Hills, making visibility dangerously low. Inside the cockpit, tension between the experienced captain and his younger first officer created a toxic environment where warnings were ignored and procedures were violated. Instead of following standard approach charts, the captain programmed a custom route into the flight management system and used the autopilot’s NAV mode—completely unsuitable for the type of visual maneuver required. Ignoring terrain warnings from the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) and dismissing the first officer’s concerns, the captain descended below minimum safe altitude and strayed outside the protected approach area. At 9:41 AM, Airblue Flight 202 struck the Margalla Hills at high speed, killing all 152 passengers and crew instantly. The investigation revealed no mechanical issues—only a fatal chain of human errors, poor cockpit resource management (CRM), and a dangerous culture of unquestioned authority. This video reconstructs the final flight of Airblue 202 using official investigation reports, cockpit voice recordings, and eyewitness accounts. It serves as a stark reminder that in aviation, teamwork, communication, and adherence to procedures save lives. ✈ If you enjoy in-depth aviation accident analysis, subscribe and enable notifications so you never miss a story. #Airblue202 #AviationDisaster #MargallaHillsCrash #AirbusA321 #PilotError #AviationAccident #PakistanAirCrash #FlightAnalysis #CockpitVoiceRecorder #AviationSafety Become a member of this channel to enjoy benefits: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSbX6rQTwHtrAV_OGrPn0gw/join Do you like the music on the channel?
