After the issues with our Predator 5000 generator and issues and the repairs. Then trying to find a fuel pump for my Yanmar L90ae. Sarah and I decided to order a new Kubota OC60 E4 4.5kw diesel generator. We emailed back and forth with Bill from Central Maine Diesel and finally decided to give him a call to order up the new Kubota generator. Bill at @centralmainediesel is very easy to work with and full of knowledge on different types of systems. I did have to order a few thing to extend the exhaust properly as the flexy pipe did not work out as I had hoped. So until the new parts come in we are back to running the predator. Some people will tell you that you need a generator twice the size of your inverter. That is not always the case. I designed our system to be not be used as a pass through with the inverter. It only charges the batteries unless I change my configuration with the wires and inverter. When charging we use less than 2100 watts at this time which is less than half of what the Kubota can put out. I will go into this further in a future video.
